Duncan Anderson, Special Counsel to Lovegrove & Cotton retains 30 years of trans-Tasman legal experience. Duncan is an expert in construction dispute resolution, leaky building dispute resolution, front end construction law and insolvency matters.
Construction Dispute Resolution
Focussing on construction law in recent years, Duncan holds a Master of Construction Law degree from The University of Melbourne (MConstrLaw) with several papers being published in international construction law journals. It is fair to say that he is an expert in building and construction law.
Duncan practices primarily in the area of building dispute resolution, in which capacity he:-
- Represents strata communities
- Building contractors
- Sub-contractors
- And property owners
Leaky building dispute resolution
Having practiced in New Zealand for many years Duncan is aufait with the vagaries of the NZ leaky building syndrome that has ended up costing the country billions of dollars in rectification and remediation and brings a familiarity with the complexities of resolving water ingress claims to bear.
In this capacity he represents:-

- Individual property owners
Front end construction law work
Duncan also has a good deal of experience in related areas of the law such as front-end construction practice, planning and resource management.
