Kim Lovegrove to address upcoming IBQC Global Construction Dispute Resolution Conference, 12 and 13 September
The IBQC Conference will be taking place on the 12 and 13 September.
The conference is being held on two consecutive days to ensure that we are sympathetic to different hemisphere time zones. I will also be chairing the live panel session at the end of each conference.
As the Chairman of the IBQC, I will be moderating both conferences and presenting on the topic of ‘Insights on: How to improve Construction Dispute Resolution systems’.
The presentation will revolve around the recent IBQC publication: ‘Good Practice Guidelines for the Development of Construction Dispute Resolution Tribunals and Decision-Making Institutions‘ that draws upon international best practice learnings on how to generate greater efficiency in the systemic delivery of construction dispute resolution to bring better access to the global citizen and the building industry. My presentation will also draw upon advice that I have given in various international law reform quadrants in both Asia and Africa, and in both emerging and developed economies.
The actual conference will start at 5:00 PM AEST. Nine speakers ranging from senior Australian jurists to Kings Counsel and senior construction barristers can be identified in the flyer below. My presentation will be next Tuesday at 5:20 PM AEST on the 12 September 2023.
In the second session that is sympathetic to Northern Hemisphere time zones I will be the moderator and will introduce the conference speakers. Speakers range from senior members of the judiciary from Africa, the United Kingdom, along with very senior construction lawyers, law reformers, a senior economist from the World Bank.
We very much hope that you will participate in an important global narrative. Very much looking forward to seeing you there. Please click on the link below for more information or to register.
There is still time to register, and as this is a virtual conference there are no capacity of attendees. In keeping with the altruism of the IBQC, both sessions are free.
